Hello.
I have a question that needs to be answered before I can proceed with building a database to virtually re-structure the UK government according to your desires.
Would you accept an incoming text message to confirm you are a UK Citizen?
You would have to subscribe to the database, insert your cell number, and receive a confirmation text. Reply to that text and you would be now online with our UKSHADO government database.
Only one text per phone number . . . and afterwards, you can throw away the £10 SIM card that you used on your phone . . . or someone else’s phone, if you so choose. You can figure it out . . .
Please vote by commenting on the YES or NO tab above.

With the votes above, I will be able to understand whether it is a good idea to proceed to build a useful database so you can decide where to spend your weekly virtual paycheque.
I agree with the UK government’s desire to have transparency with the UK Citizens. Empowering you is my prime directive.

Did I tell you I recently applied for the Executive Director of Digital Strategy? I was rejected at the pre-interview stage . . . well actually, I don’t think I even made it that far. But no matter . . . I know I can do the job, and I know that many people do not use a computer . . . . but pretty well everybody either has a cell phone, or can buy a £10 throwaway SIM card to register on the new site when it goes live.

There are 62,698,362 UK Citizens, 579 Councils, 650 Ministers, and 1 Monarch.
The UK National budget has £579 billion revenue and £711 billion expenses. The £132 billion remainder is called a deficit, but is really just printing money to add to the National Debt.
The debt is £1025 billion as of the end of 2011.
The bank bail-out debt is another £781.2 billion.
Can these problems be solved? I say yes . . . and quite easily . . . with your help.

You, the 62,698,362 UK Citizens are going to be given the right to vote . . . not just at election or referendum time, but every week. And not one vote, but dozens . . . maybe hundreds of votes on all line items of the budgets . . . every Friday.
You will even get to split up budgets for clarity. For example: “Defence” may get split up into Libya, Afghanistan, Home Defence . . . and whatever is on the governments agenda in the future.
How’s that for empowerment?
Oh, make sure you save some money for yourself each week, eh?

These are the fields that will be in Table 1, on a secure server located somewhere outside the UK.
Table 1 – UK Citizen
UKCitizenID
MobileNumber
Nickname
Password
Council
AvgAnnualPay£
ActualAnnualPay£
Please note: UKCitizenID is autogenerated and is the “primary key” for the table. The MobileNumber will not be divulged to anyone, anywhere, anytime. Your Nickname cannot be your real name. Your Password, if lost, means you need to re-enter the cell phone number you used. Council is your local council. AvgAnnualPay£ is currently £27012. ActualAnnualPay£ is optional.

All very nice, Steve, but why don’t you tell them what happened last night?
By the way, do now do not need to subscribe to this site to post a comment. Use a fake name and email address to log in your vote above.
This site is now a stepping stone to http://UKfupped.com but there is no point in anyone going there until we know whether UK Citizens would register using their cell phone.
