That Mememto movie reminds me of The myth of Sisyphus. He is relegated to rolling a rock up a hill, only to have it roll down again . . . then he begins rolling it up the hill again.
We forget what happened in the last cycle so easily. Why?

Yep, we’ve been rolling up that hill and rolling down again for 2300 years now . . . with no problems . . . except people being caught under the rock time and time again.
And you want to continue this with your gold based money/currency? . . . at the expense of logic?
Yes, Ingo, this world has had a lot of momentum in the money myth that has been peddled for 2300 years.
While we scrounge for pennies down here, there are pillow fights with money-stuffed pillows in the clouds . . . no-one gets hurt up there . . . but down here?
